The Wisconsin Preparedness Plan is a
continuity of operations/continuity of business preparedness plan for an
animal-disease incident in Wisconsin. The plan describes proactive ways
to reduce risks to dairy farms, dairy processing plants, associated
commerce, consumers, taxpayers, and the environment in the event of a
Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak. Hoof and Mouth Disease is another
name for FMD. FMD is a concern for the United States because 96
countries experience FMD all the time. Many other countries have
occasional FMD outbreaks.
